Born in Trenčín (1972). He studied mathematics and geography at Faculty of science at Comenius University in Bratislava. He is singer, lyricist and keyboardist. When he was 13 years old he started to be singer in the group Bez ladu a skladu, with which he recorded three albums. He performed also with Jiří Stivín on music festivals. He perodically performed with his group until 1997. Then he started to organise Slovak music festival Pohoda in Trenčín (now the biggest festival in Slovakia). He is founder the group Neuropa (now officially non-exist). He recorded with his group one album which has the same name as the group. He participated like a composer of music for three Czechoslovak movies. Since 2006 Michal Kaščák together with Peter Fiala present program of the Slovak and Czech rock bands.
