Folkloric drum and bass – that’s how one could describe the union of Folk&Bass Orchestra and Ženy z Muzičky. Bagpipes, whistles, shawms, piercing female voices singing traditional Slovak folk songs accompanied by synthesisers and electronic beats. Their musical creations seem to travel in time and space between the club scene of the 21^st century and the rural environment of the past. Their EP has already been nominated in the World Music category of the Radio_Head Awards 2023. Nevertheless, it’s during their live performances where their vibrating energy reaches its mind-blowing heights.
